The Ficus Lyratas leaves can grow up to 12 inches wide and 30 inches in length quite large for an indoor house plant. The lyrata goes by the common name fiddle leaf fig and is one of the most popular tropical foliage plants for indoor use on the market today. For a houseplant the fiddle leaf fig requires a well lit environment but uses very little water.
Watering - Keep soil evenly moist at all times. The leaves will stay nice and you will have less chance of pests and diseases. One is pruning and the other is notching.
Spraying the Ficus Lyrata XL once a week will also benefit it. This plant requires patience and care but it is worth it. The Ficus Lyrata is in the Moraceae plant family which also includes other species most notably the Fig Tree which is commonly known.
These plants are native to tropical parts of Africa where they thrive in very warm and wet conditions. They love the sun. When mature they can make a great focal point in a living room or office space.
